My name is Lisa Bartlett Argilagos, and I grew up in Pawcatuck, CT.
I am a 1989 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Following my graduation, I worked for the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida, where I developed my love for baking. In 1993, I moved back to the Southeastern Connecticut region and worked at Foxwoods Resort Casino as a Master Pastry Cook. I then worked at Mystic Market as their Pastry Chef for three years with my focus being wedding and specialty cakes. In September 2002, I established a wedding and specialty cake business called, You Take the Cake.
I am a scratch baker and use only fresh ingredients.
You Take the Cake caters to the educated palate and will create a cake especially for your needs. I am a reliable and consistent chef with 25 years experience. This business is a dream that has come to fruition! Baking is my passion!
